A quick #battletech project completed: a devastator painted up in the colours of the 14th Skye Rangers, a unit which the merc company is impersonating in a time of war campaign i am playing in (but since they are doing it for lyran high command, is it really "impersonating"?)

Memories: my undergrad project was on phosphate disturbance from the building of the EDF's Whitelees windfarm: taking cores of peat over a freeze/thaw cycle, I had exactly this. Was really interesting to see the P release, which the construction triggered, slam to a stop as soon as the ice melted
Ice rich permafrost cores thawing in the lab. Imagine this happening slowly as permafrost thaws with climate change or disturbance and what this means for insfrastructure built above! (This was my most popular post on the bad place, let’s make it so here too!) #cdnsci #geoscience #cryosphere

Towards my own end, I remain much less interested in the ghosts of grand ruins, much more interested in haunted potting sheds in which the spirit of a beloved parent still potters on. Ghosts which offer a continuity of passions and care fascinate me hugely. – #CJosiffe #Ghosts

I bought it on a whim, as I was writing a fanfic on it when it was on sale, but the scheme was great.
