using this as an opportunity to show you both juicy bits from old comics, but also secret crop from new WIP comics

(A lot of people with severe forms of my illness describe it as feeling like they've died or are now ghosts in their own lives, and maybe that's why it feels significant to me.) This character has a realisation that the world is changing and something they've been striving for is destined not to succeed. After that, they end up isolating and almost entombing themself, collecting the bones of every creature they've killed by mistake, and wanting to commemorate them in some way. I wanted to try to capture this sense of the character both finding comfort in the macabre, but also they've sort of made a home in their own melancholy and guilt. They're unable to move forwards, reminding themself over and over of what they've done wrong."

ignoring for a moment the book I was working on for years coming out today, my other recent big excitement is our plum tree had plums for the FIRST time this year, but most got eaten by birds and fell off in storms and I thought I'd never get to taste one... 1 made it through!!! and was edible!!!!!
