#Crustmas, you say??
We made scientific gingerbread cookies for @unibergen.bsky.social's #AcademicGingerbreadVillage (exhibited at the natural history museum!), and of course some of them featured #invertebrates. Here's a glorious #HermitCrab made by the participants of our #Bryozoa workshop

Oh wow, they look stunning though!
Re: photos of small fish, this little gadget is one of my favourite things to have in the field (or at outreach events) - it's like the smallest little aquarium!

Just one of many, many uses of @biodivlibrary.bsky.social ; was looking for the original citation on enormous size of Lion's mane jellyfish (it's repeated throughout the internet without reference) - ta-da; BHL to the rescue! #ILOVEBHL www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/28070439

#ThrowbackThursday to some old punny posts - we once upon a time* made #InvertebrateValentines. Have shrimp, in these trying times! 🦐

(I think species is Hippolyte varians - feel free to correct!)

(*before #Invertebrateshitposting was even a ting)

#BivalveDay on 2/2*
This is not the most amazing photograph, it's bit blurry.
BUT: I took it in situ, with my phone, hundreds of meters down in the water of Sognefjorden, whilst on a submersible dive! How incredibly cool is that?! 🤯🤯
Bivalve species is Acesta excavata.
(no English name)?
