ok brunswick is looking crisp
Brunswick St at Doyle St, looking North, towards Sackville St. The sidewalks are unchanged, but the street has been repaved. About 1/3 of the street is separated by a concrete curb, the other 2/3 is two-way car traffic. Brunswick St at Prince St, looking South. A bike lane under construction is on the west side of the street. Asphalt is fresh and so is the paint.

for a lot of bikes, SKS Bluemels or something similar is all you need. they’re flexible enough to be easy to install, but are pretty good at staying in place.

google maps showing drive time and distance from burnside to lower Sackville. 11min, 13km this route includes the burnside expressway, which is a highway with no cycling facilities. by bike, 13km would take about half an hour or more for a lot of cyclists. google maps showing walk time from burnside to lower Sackville. 5h1m, 22km this route does not include the burnside expressway, and would be a similar route to bike. by bike, 22km would be about an hour or more for a lot of cyclists.

the crank arms are fixed to the spindle with cotters (tapered pins made of soft metal).

if the cotter comes loose and falls out (which is what happened here), the crank arm can rotate freely and/or fall off the spindle.
