A Grand Orrery made by Joseph Pope, born 1750 ish. Located at Harvard’s Collection of Scientific Instruments. Just amazed at how much they knew about the planets in the 18th century.

Been to the Harvard Natural History Museum today. Met the bones of creatures that I wouldn’t have liked to have as neighbours when they were covered with flesh and scales/fur. Stand out though was the glass flowers exhibition. Incredibly realistic!

Am in the US for a bit. Took a regional flight the other day. The safety card told me that the plane was put together in Canada. Why are they telling travellers this? It’s almost as if they are trying to reassure people that it’s not going to drop out of the sky!
