My dear Maggie, who I've been missing for 2 1/2 years now. It wasn't enough for her to sleep next to me, she had to be on top of me. Would gently place claws on my chin in the dead of night if I was sleeping & therefore not paying attention to her. She had the strangest squeaky purr. Loved her so!💔

Kiddo wanted a rum cake for his birthday, but I couldn't make it because I'd just had my surgery, so I got up this morning & made it. Never made one before. Seems like the recipe called for way too much glaze, it's gonna be a sodden mess if I use it all.

If someone can answer a dumb question for me, what do other states do that don't use signature matching? I've voted in NY my whole life: you give your name to the poll worker, sign, they compare your signature to the book (or now, the computer) & they hand you your ballot. How is it done elsewhere?

Morning coffee in one of my favorite old mugs.

It originally had heat-sensitive, color changing paint. The hands were bluish until you put hot liquid in the cup, then they would turn pink.
(Trandate was a brand of labetalol, for you who are too young to remember😆)

Pizza in the oven for supper! The local grocery sells store-made, pre-baked pizza crusts. (They're fully baked but not browned) 12 inch rounds or 12 X 24 rectangles. The big ones are $3.29, which seems reasonable to me since I don't make homemade crust.

In addition to not allowing quote posts, I wish bluesky would also let us disallow reposts. Every so often, someone will repost something of mine that would be of no interest whatsoever to someone who is not a mutual & it irritates the shit out of me & I end up deleting the post. I'm weird like that
