Join El Cerrito/Richmond Annex Walk & Roll for a vigil for a safer San Pablo Ave next Mon, Dec 22, 2-2:30 pm, at the corner of San Pablo & Waldo.

Donna Revecho, 66, was struck by a car in this crosswalk in November; she died three weeks later.

We need to stop tragedies like this, join us Monday.

Cars are so dangerous that parents who move their kids to the suburbs to avoid perceptions of urban crime increase their kid’s likelihood of dying a violent death by like 30 percent.
This happened in my city last week.

Since it seems like the entire world is obsessing over the potential dangers of teens riding ebikes lately, I feel like a reminder is in order: drivers are far and away the greatest threat to your kid and everyone else on the road, and always will be.

Good news! New permitting policies are bearing fruit in San Jose.

“Nearly one year after enacting a policy aimed at speeding up approvals for large-scale infill housing developments, San José has approved its first project under the new rules, cutting the permitting time by more than half.”
West San Jose development represents the first project in the city approved under streamlined infill policy
San Jose has approved a 540-unit mixed-use development on Stevens Creek Boulevard, marking the first project to ever be greenlit under the city’ streamlined infill policy.
