For me the last rock-solid version of OS X was the version of Snow Leopard right before the app store. Since then Apple has slowly been chiseling away at my reluctance to move fully to Linux. With the last few versions of macOS, they have replaced the chisel with a sledgehammer.

For me the last rock-solid version of OS X was the version of Snow Leopard right before the app store. Since then Apple has slowly been chiseling away at my reluctance to move fully to Linux. With the last few versions of macOS, they have replaced the chisel with a sledgehammer.
The last few releases of macOS have been filled with such glitches that never get resolved. Even though for the last few releases, I have waited for the dot-2 release before installing the updated version (note, I did not use the word upgrade), I still have glitches, etc that I have to live with.
