A very good article. A critical part of this is listening to the fans. I have a good feeling about this. Everton can be the next Arsenal.
6,473 at Goodison Park for Everton Women yesterday. Nearly 6x average of WPH. Some expect Everton (& the wider game) to have all the answers now or it's a hoax. Goodison is a reminder that ambition & patience are not mutually exclusive. This is a work in progress.

A very good article. A critical part of this is listening to the fans. I have a good feeling about this. Everton can be the next Arsenal.

There’s some players where even when you can rationalize a reason for the move, it still feels like you’re getting stabbed in the heart by the prospect of it and this is that one for me. Such an underrated backbone to this team for so long and an absolutely lovely person on top of it.

I was chatting with a friend about judging the POTT better. It ended up being a combo of having impact every minute on the pitch, influencing the impact of a match the most and the performances that you can't forget. For me, I will never forget Williamson's performance in the UWCL final.

Cannot be said enough
Leah Williamson is in that phase of her career that a lot of great players go through when their consistency just washes over people and they miss it. Usually when the great players like this get to about 33 and people can see the end they get a ‘grand old’ halo. But she is one of the greats.

The UWCL qualifying round draws happen today but Arsenal, of course, are not involved because they won the Champions League and the team that wins the Champions League (aka the champions of Europe) goes straight into the league phase as the winners and defending champions of Europe.

I am wondering if there are any journalistic pieces in the works about the increasing state of stewarding and rules at women's football games. The champions league was hosted in a very hot city and sun cream and water was confiscated before entering the stadium.

England leading Spain 1-0 at half time which calls to mind the famous time the Arsenal Football Club beat Barcelona 1-0 in the Champions League Final to win the Champions League Final and, subsequently, be crowned Champions League winners- Champions of Europe is an alternative label, of course.
