"Reward the healthy" sounds good when you are thinking "why should I pay more for Joe's smoking habit??", a lot less when you realize it means if you have an emergency you are no longer "the healthy" and when you understand that kind of health often isn't a choice.

They didn't like my pointing out that a) communalizing risk is the point of insurance,
And b) the people who did need it would be crushed to save everyone else a few dollars.
I ultimately was able to finagle one more year of the old coverage for those who opted in, but at an increased rate. 3/

They saw an opportunity for savings: switch plans to one where most people would still be covered, but the deductible would go way up! But it's ok, most people will be able to put the difference in an HSA and come out a little ahead!

At a union job I had ages ago, I was a shop steward, so they brought us in to explain the changes to health care plans. The company and our provider had done an analysis and discovered that most of the claims (aka costs) came from only a small group of people! 1/

Talk to your current psychiatrist and get them to give you refills now, set up a PCP appointment as soon as possible and ask if a) they'll write you the scrip themselves and b) if they'll refer you to a psychiatrist and write the scrip until that's set up.

Are you asking about it changing to Kaiser as in it wasn't before and now is, or charging to Kaiser, as in using Kaiser to pay for an outside psychiatrist?
If you mean you are going from a different network to Kaiser, my PCP was willing to prescribe me based on past history of prescriptions.

I was definitely struck by it as an allegory for self-discovery and of course particularly in the sense of identifying as trans. I loved the movie 25 years ago, and I love it today, in different ways. What a wonderful job you two did. Thank you for sharing this story with us.

I believe that's the name of the band! Fun fact: Lone Digger features in Disney's Strange World, which cracked me up based on the idea of folks looking up the song for their kids and seeing cartoon animals and thinking it would be fine.
