Canadian wearily posting into the void. Resisting the word "skeet". My posts do not represent my employer. Mum, cat owner, ND. She / her.
I do not "follow back" automatically and if I don't know you in some way, you will be blocked.

I know that I can't resist trying to find an answer if someone asks a question. It's something I'm really trying to be more aware of.
But you didn't ask! You posted delicious-looking cookies!

It's just such a complex system and to see people saying "there's puddles, guess we're all good!" and meaning it is just wild to me

Wells are doing better, of course! But we lost four months of rain, takes more than 2 weeks to reverse the damage.

and we don't have our vaccines yet for a whole bunch of logistical reasons... we're booked, but it's not soon enough to suit me, frankly
it feels like it was a lot easier to get vaccinated last fall, but i have no actual empirical evidence about that. just vibes.

i catch myself lying as stiff as a board. reminding myself to relax into it has made a huge difference; i rarely wake up hurting anymore.

Sadly I know this one all too well. Honestly what has helped me more than anything is 1. regular massages 2. setting alarms on my phone to remind me to stand up and walk around once an hour
Weirdly I tense up badly when I first lie down for sleep. I have to remind myself to let go. Every time.

Or the number of people who don't turn them on at night because their car has daytime running lights and they don't realize that doesn't light up the back end

Because if they suddenly go on strike again, your document is just... stuck wherever it is, you know? The cost of FedEx would buy you peace of mind.

I've been receiving mail regularly but after all the labour stoppages and interruptions over the past year I'd be pretty hesitant to send anything critical / time sensitive with CP.

Get warm moist compresses on it as much as you can. Learn from my mistakes, I had one a year ago and didn't realize what was happening... made me miserable for a lot longer than it needed to.
