Getting my taxes done for free at my local public library by AARP volunteers. It’s stuffy in here, there’s a queue of folks before me. I don’t care!!! I’m grateful for knowledgeable volunteers lending their free expertise to everyday folx like me. 🙏

I have this picture hanging up behind my desk. During a library outreach at a school for refugee teens, we brought art supplies for them to use. A quiet, queer boy from Senegal made this and gave it to me. We couldn’t communicate with each other but we saw each other.

One thing about me is that I will fight Nazis until I’m six feet in the ground.
