Solidarity. My husband's away for 2 days so ofc my daughter no longer sleeps through the night/in her own bed, has blown through her nappy for the first time in months and the bin broke resulting in cascading rubbish all over the kitchen floor. I may have had a little cry at that point.

Ooh I have that too, they get so excited there's a few really obvious ones and they just point blank refuse to be poked. Had 4 attempts to get in for my sedation a few weeks ago

I would be sooooo fit if I lived in this house. Constantly roaming the corridors as I backtrack to find my phone in the furthest room away

At the time it felt entirely reasonable but I look at 24 year olds now and go "but they're babies!"

Anyway: both the state and private developers need to build at far greater rates, the default aim should be 'a dual earner couple on average incomes can live in non-crowded conditions and raise a family', and the model family *for policymakers* should be three for obvious reasons.

Wages do match locations though, sure houses are cheaper elsewhere but the earning ceiling is a lot lower so comparatively it's still out of reach. London is an edge case but still representative of a wider trend

When we moved to Bristol 3 beds mid terraces near us were going for 175k - 15 years later they're going for 450k. I don't know the wage figures but I'm willing to bet it's not a 257% increase in the same time period. Clearly this makes it much harder to afford a house if you don't already have one.
