Oh I think you are so right- but the fallow pathetic lives they lead still gives me a moment of charitable thought. But you sign a deal with the devil and all that. So I do agree with you. It’s just a bit heartbreaking that people have felt the need to embrace such shite. But you are right!

Oh and I do agree with you. I sort of feel a bit bad for those people - what a way to navigate life and all its possibilities

I hope this has come across already, but I could not care less if people are trans or not. Unless they need me to. My step-Dad is a lovely man. But was a bit baffled by trans people and very focused on women’s prisons. But we looked at some data together and he is now in a “what’s the fuss?” camp.

That’s really interesting to know - thank you. And my friends little kids at nurseries and first schools are very much being encouraged in this. Although I’m not sure quite how many will end up working with dinosaurs! There will be some disappointment for sure 😆

And so I think that adds to the whole patriarchy thing and also to “a man who thinks they’re a woman” horror about trans women. For the sake of clarity, I am a trans ally all the way and just suggesting what some people might be thinking or just reacting to. Thank you for the thread 😊

Totally get what you’re saying - your foggy brain is being awesome! I would also add that while there is a (cis) women (of which I am one) narrative rubs deep, cis men are not encouraged in the same way to do “women’s jobs” if they’re suited to it.

We are so happy for you! And yes the small things for other people can sometimes be really hard for you (and me too TBH). So I admire you for persisting and thank you for sharing 😊

When I got a new kitchen which was a bit open plan, I moved the sink so I could stack the dishes behind the bit of wall so they were hidden and then I could do one big old wash when there was enough. But yeah dishwashers have come on hugely for water and energy efficiency. What a time to be alive!

I live by myself so I didn’t get a dishwasher as I needed the cupboard space. But when I go to places there is one, I practically get inside it for a wash myself!

It is awful that food banks are needed, but amazing that people like your Mum get stuff done that is thoughtful and helpful. Thank you for sharing 😊
