This experience has also made me realize that many of my art school professors needed a therapist and not a room full of 18-year-olds. It's so easy to be compassionate (and so much more rewarding than being a bully!)

“What about all my friends?” Is such an industry mood.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mom 3 years ago and I still find myself thinking “oh I should give her a call and tell her about xyz.”

Ok they did, it just took a few minutes. Morale restored.
