All of this conversation about DEI and ending DEI happens when mediocrity and insecurity come together. For some it is difficult to admit someone else is just better. So to feel good about themselves they have to blame DEI instead of realizing they are simply mediocre and insecure.

I just have to say this because it’s bothering me. I am a strong believer in solidarity. But I feel like a conversation needs to take place. I cannot mentally make the jump from those election results to solidarity with some groups of people. I feel they smiled in my face and stabbed me in the back.

We must choose our fights wisely. Trump and his followers will be pulling the rope a dope method and we will exhaust ourselves chasing his ridiculous claims, etc. We cannot focus on all the small fires. We have to move wisely. I still believe in the power of the people when we stand together.

I love on BlueSky when you block someone their picture is blurred instantly. Just out in the void. I know so many have said this but the joy I feel not needing to deal w/ the constant hate, being called the n word, death threats, pile ons from a post, etc. Now maybe we can just have a conversation.
