Happily Married Generation Jones to Beloved. Daughter is referred to as DD (Darling Daughter). Cat is Resident Dictator, aka RD🐈‍⬛. Born and bred in Charleston, SC. If know, you know. I chose to be positive in a horrible world but I am 100% pro-people.
Charleston, SC doesn’t get snow often though we might this weekend. Is this a rule? 🎂

FYI. 2:45 pm is a great time to go to my local Lowe’s. Not crowded and the sales people are out and offering to help. Cheerfully available to retrieve with a forklift a heavy crate 10 feet above the floor. Then opened the box and brought me my item. Best experience I’ve had in 2 years.

Camp site set up, supper finished, heating pad for my bed heating up and comfortable around the fire. (We are not using state fire ring.) The weather apps are predicting rain Sunday morning. We might pack up tomorrow afternoon. 😔

Love this. Have you seen women presenting something they care about the same way a man presents a fish? Well… men are showing off their favorite tool like a women presenting their latte. Perfect.

On the ⏰App there is a poster named Travels with “Brent” the air tag. Seems am abusive ex tagged his ex wife’s car and she found it. Now this trucker travels around with “Brent”. Not a big account but I love the idea.

Back on DeadBird I posted about wanting a Stickley Morris Chair & stool but ordering it would cost $5,000+ and we couldn’t afford it. Now the store is closing and the whole showroom is on markdown. The 2 floor chairs &1 stool are available for less. Having a great Christmas, need to decorate- later.

The process continues. We have more ornaments. I think it is enough. DD disagrees.
December 9, 2025 at 9:20 PM
I put up the same Christmas Ornaments each year, some over 100 years old. 20+ years ago I learned I was allergic to the pollen and mold on real trees. I bought an artificial tree but it is a terrible ornament holder. So I removed 1/2 of the limbs. Here it is before ornaments. I’ll post more tomorrow

DD was riding her bike back from Hampton Park and passed a big pumpkin (24+”) so when she got home she drove her car back to get it. It had 14 others join it. The pile grows in the light of the street light. (48 at this point) We have pumpkins instead of tribbles.

We are now in the season after Thanksgiving when we gather up pumpkins as people put them out on the curb. Love the seeds. My compost bin is going to overflow.

I think this is my future purse. Instead of me supporting it, it supports me. And it has a higher weight limit.

Beloved found this in our neighborhood.

I need legal counsel. I am part owner of a property in Washington DC and the present tenant has done destructive remodeling without getting written permission from me. How do I proceed?

I need advice on a kitty calmer. Just heard that Charleston is being brought up WAY too much as the landfall for a Not-Yet-Named Thunderstorm. My “if you are prepared it will go away” has been activated. Today’s shopping item is something to calm R.D.🐈‍⬛. Suggestions on short notice shopping.

Fixed banner flags don’t do half-mast so instead a black scarf is added. I’m praying for the federal government order 30 days of mourning real soon.

Wonder how the “Queen” is taking this?
August 31, 2025 at 11:24 PM
I outside barefoot, “grounding”. Look who joined me.

Ollie’s Bargain outlets are liquidating a lot of sewing notions from the closed JoeAnnes fabric stores, much are Singer Brand. DD is teaching a friend how to sew. A friend that can’t understand why we have so many scissors. So I know a future🎄present. Bought more than shown.

One of the rain gauge’s Charleston has to record street flooding. They want you to take a picture of it and report it. I personally refuse to drive down the peninsula if it’s raining hard or high tide. Our flooding is often salty.

Now they are doubling up on the oak.
August 20, 2025 at 2:48 PM
A neighbor called the city about a limb from the oak in front of my house touching the power line. Not only did they conservatively trim it off- but now are HAND trimming crossed and dead branches. Respect.

My Vizio TV has had Yahoo as its app provider and it says it’s ending at the end of August. (Heavy push to buy a new TV.) So where can I get a new source for Apps that is free? I watch little broadcast, my app entertainment is mostly YouTube. And we’re broke. If I need broadcast I could do this.

Typical communication I have with. DD. Her upstairs, me down. Hope these posted in the correct order.

Today is the 9th anniversary of Resident Dictator’s Gotch-You Day. He is not a pet. We are just the place where he would receive mail. He didn’t like touch so we wouldn’t let him eat til we delivered a head to tail swipe. He now demands it. I’m his favorite cause I don’t cuddle, just provide a lap.
