You dangle my freedom only to bill me straight,
Lock my door, then bark, "Go Escape!"
Gripping shadows taught me to grow
Preaching "Good things," like not to eat Plato

You set the stage, wrote the script
But suddenly I aint part of it?
I built your name, I gave my all
And you balk at my gall?

dawkins is very annoying to read because he will just state "all biologists classify things according to this universal standard" or similar & if you don't know any better you might assume that is true, until you search for it, & find biologists more qualified than he is replying "no we don't"

'the war on science' is daunting at first because there's like 40 different grievance essays but luckily they collectively only have like 3 or 4 grievances (i don't wanna respect trans people/give indigenous people their stuff back/stop groping the students) so it edits down quite nicely

Transparency, Inquiry, and Factual Accuracy

A universal aspiration fundamental to societal progress and well-being is shared truth. The increasing prevalence of misinformation in our digital age threatens informed decision-making, healthy public discourse, and any hope for cooperative civilization

Frank Turek is really good at memorizing responses that other people came up with. I don’t think he gets enough credit for that. That’s a skill.

Oppressed communities: We just want the same rights and privileges as everyone else!

The people whose Constitution was specifically made by them and for them:
"I'm not really seeing the issue? We stopped murdering you al- oh, sorry *mostly* stopped murdering you all. But you're on thin ice!

Screenwriters really phoned it in this season. The stakes are unrealistically high, the characters hardly act like people, and bringing back the Nazis plot line just feels more lazy than clever. Derivative

The next person to unironically say "constitutional rights" are being violated, y'know, that document written, signed, and enforced by the people with all the money and guns? Maybe this is how it's always been? Either way, we at least *have* a constitution to point to. What does everyone else get?

Sometimes I get geared up to post here and I’m like “this is just going to bum everyone out” so I delete the tweet

I think I need to be more confident and comfortable with my right to make people sad!

Stop playing the game

Children are starving. People are dying, and for what? To make their deep pockets a little deeper

We have been tricked into thinking we need them, but they really are just stalling to make more money

This isn't war. It's greed. Stop buying into it. Stop. Playing. The Game

"It's our constitutional right!"

Bro...at least you *have* a constitution that can be violated

It's starting to feel like when Mom and Dad leave the kids alone for too long and the children wreck the house fighting, each absolutely convinced Mum/Dad will agree with them once they get home, only to get grounded right along with everyone else because destroying things is wrong
