Mostly I'm just tired. I love reading and audio fiction podcasts. Recommendations always welcome.
That one took me a minute, too. Kind of funny that drumsticks probably have more relevance in our day-to-day lives now than old fashioned matches do.

Absolutely. Probably wouldn't even notice I'd wrecked.

That's delightful.

I see that you are the poster child for the warnings on this vintage bookmark I found.

I wouldn't be able to tell you the job of most of the people I follow online. I just assume it's influencer. 🤷‍♀️

I hope it passes quickly!

She wouldn't know if they have picked up US citizens or not because they haven't bothered asking.

I've had 1L summer clerks who didn't know their own social security numbers to fill out their paperwork for onboarding.

Yeah he did! 😍

Eww. I was thinking Sanderson, though I know it's the wrong genre. Similar nice guy vibes, though. I forgot all about the possibility of it being OSC.
October 6, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Hmm. Perhaps they were getting you confused with Sanderson?
October 6, 2025 at 11:22 PM
Nah. Guaranteed anyone with that combo of money and power they'll miraculously be able to recognize.

If you "can't get into it right now" why bring it up? Instead you just gave him a chance to spout his talking points with no rebuttal.

Then again, while the SBC is certainly the devil, the Catholic Church does consolidate power in a central structure in a way most other denominations do not. Maybe the LDS comes close, but they still don't have the market share to compete on the global scale.

Not that the Catholic Church doesn't owe an enormous reckoning for their part in the priest abuse, but as an adult I can look back on that and realize that the way it was reported (and the way similar scandals in other churches were not) likely carried some of that anti-Catholic sentiment.

My favorite is when the big firms buy tables but then don't want to attend and give the tickets to us legal aid folks.

I didn't realize that wasn't the norm until I left the check and moved out of the small town, but it was eye opening. That was 20 years ago and there does seem to be less separation now, but I know lots of the older folks still think that way. Amazing how they overlook the evils of the SBC, though.

I was raised Southern Baptist. We had a pretty serious church schism over a question of whether or not the local Catholic priest would be invited to speak at a multi-church revival week. They don't think much about the Pope because they consider Catholicism completely separate from Christianity.

You say that like it's in the past. It's definitely not.

I'm not sure how many people realize that the "evangelical" side genuinely believes that the Catholic church is a cult. Anything the Pope says is automatically discredited just because he said it.

Top-notch editing, clearly a person you can trust.

We love it! If you happened to want to come back for a new season (or even sell some merch) we would love that, too. Just glad to see you around.
