Thinking back, every privatisation scam was sold on the back of more competition, better service & you had a choice. One of three isn't a particularly good result.

That was what the unions were always fighting for. My working hours decreased by 2.5 p/w over many decades. Now it seems to have reversed at full speed.

You also have to be aware that other people have a different recollection of events than you. An offhand, throwaway comment to one person can have a devastating, long lasting effect on the other.

I think, in a lot of cases, it's too late, they are already lost. The key is to prevent the corruption spreading further.

TBH, it served both Europe & the US. A huge trading block of countries was always going to be better than them fighting each other & the US can trade with them too. Win-win.
