Retired railway drone, cynical but hopeful.
Just listened to podcast & they had a guest who worked for Meta & has written a book. It was pointed out that she was forbidden to discuss the book or say anything negative about her former employer.
The question, to me at least is, why do these tech bros have such fragile egos?

I suggested recently that Leeds wouldnt have more than 11 points at the end of December. Delighted to have been proved wrong. MOT.

Just listening to the report of the tangerine tyrant's agents meeting with Putin. I can honestly see him throwing Europe under the bus.

For the past few weeks, it's been budget, budget, budget.

From tomorrow, it'll be budget, budget, budget.

Enough, already.

When Rishi Sunak made the Vaccine deal with Moderna as Chancellor, he had up to £530m invested in Moderna.

Now Michelle Mone is desperately bringing it up.

Like if you want Mone on trial.
RT if you want them both facing the music.

Just watching the 40 Hidden Music Treasures at the BBC & it reminded me that if you went to a rock gig in the early the early 80s, the chance of not hearing Crazy on YouTube or Barracuda by Heart were practically nil.

Just watching 'The 1970s: Those Were the Days' & one of the talking heads has just come up with a killer punchline: We brits go abroad & think we're Downton Abbey, when, in fact, we are all Monty Python.

Interesting evening. I've been accused of being an idealist & out of touch with reality for not wanting to sink every dinghy that crosses the channel. Hey ho!

Did you watch The Hack? I can't believe papers have gotten away with destroying lives for so long. That's why I've signed the petition, set up by Hugh Grant and other phone hacking victims, to demand fair, independent regulation. Join me: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-...
A Free Press, Not a Free Pass – It's Time for Fair Regulation
For too long, the UK press have bullied people, harassed grieving families, and destroyed lives, all to sell papers. We’ve all seen the heartbreaking consequences. They’ve hacked phones, listened to ...

Please RP if you think so.

Nowt on the telly & then I stumbled across The Proms. I know, posh people doing their thing, but the music is quite something to behold.

I'm not concerned about Leeds going out of the Carabao Cup.
What I am concerned about is our ability to score.
That is the real worry.

Hearing that exam results in some parts of Scotland may be delayed, as a result of Storm Floris is strange .
Yes, I understand the need for a physical record (via post), but couldn't they be sent electronically?
Apologies if this is already happening, but if it isn't, why?

According to the Torygraph, Britain's biggest train builder is expressing concern about rail nationalisation.
The company? Alstom, who are, in fact, French.

Out for a walk & passed two people talking. Said hello & asked if they were enjoying their day.
"Yes" was the reply "were just putting the world to rights" & before I could say anything, it was quickly followed by how she couldn't go into the city centre anymore because of foreigners.

Idiots
