I wish that everyone in the cabinet is required to have a top secret clearance, and the official opposition has enough top secret cleared MP's to fill a cabinet.

Stupid Trudeau for forcing Doug Ford to cut education funding, forcing institutions to look for alternative sources of revenue.

The plan to help China switch from coal to natural gas was poorly thought out. Why would China switch from cheap domestic energy (coal) to a foreign source of energy?

Carbon tariffs on jurisdictions without a similar carbon price would have been required.

I can tell you why, at least at CTV. I used to chase produce for Newschannel when Power Play was off air.

You'd show up for work, making (in my case) less than 50K a year, and you'd have like, two hours at a time to find someone to speak about XYZ, on national TV, with next to no notice.

53.69% of the Ontario voted went two parties that were non ignorant of society problems.

The non Conservative parties should be mutually exclusive in all riding.

I don't doubt you, but what's your source.

Does anyone know where the 3000 number comes from? Where does the $1000 number come from?

How do we realistically do that?

A suggestion is unrealized gains cannot be used as collateral. Maybe the top federal marginal tax rate needs to revert back to 70%.

You want a government controlling prices.

I would rather the government using its resources with a partnership that has margin constraints.
January 31, 2026 at 9:58 PM
I don't want to government dictating what organizations can charge. That would be a mess.

Maybe the government could use its resources to partner with potential grocers, with margin constraints in agreements.

Maybe he's trying to say the National Post has no core identity.

I'm expecting a Conservative MP will change allegiance next week, when Poilievre survives the vote.

He could have referenced recent pipelines built during Justin Trudeau and John Diefenbaker's time.

(I support natural gas pipelines to methane pyrolysis facilities)

NPR can't go negative, but I don't see the economic/political appetite for NPR in a world of reduced globalization. Add in a wave that's about to happen of increased deaths, and less people leaving the nest or being born, this indicates the completions will result in more homes per capita.
January 29, 2026 at 1:32 PM
I'm well aware the NPR numbers are down significantly. I'm also not naive that globalization hasn't been negatively impacted,as Carney was correct to call out. This will have negatively impact on NPR going forward. Given the fertility rate, and a bulge near the end, I see housing demand decrease.

Immigration would need to be 550k just to keep housing demand/supply steady. This is a major factor why rent prices dropped in 2025.
January 27, 2026 at 8:11 PM
Immigration is not what it was. Canada's population is up less than 47k in the first nine months of 2025.

Is there something else?
January 27, 2026 at 7:21 PM
This post is based on data from statistics Canada. Stats can provides population for every age bracket, and provides mortality rates for every age bracket. Combine that data and in the early 2030's there will be more baby boomers dying than people leaving the nest.
January 27, 2026 at 5:33 PM
Why would anyone buy a home, when demographics data says we're about 6 years away from a structural decrease in housing demand? Especially when it's cheaper to rent in many communities.

Didn't the kings send a messenger to report back. Just saying it's known that fascist distain the news.
