Who else out there faking it?

I am over a half-century old and have never produced an entire Thanksgiving meal from scratch. I don't like turkey. I have been bringing sides to my relatives' houses or cooking there (often pies) my entire adult life. I have, however, made beef Wellington for Xmas.

Imposter syndrome severely tested as the motion sensor in the restroom refuses to acknowledge my presence and remains dark for several seconds; then the faucet sensors don't start the water after I've put soap on my hands, forcing me to open the door with a paper towel and use the break room sink.

🧶 Today I was forced to learn how to pick up a dropped brioche stitch. Making mistakes helps us grow. But we can grumble about it.

Today I made a cake. The frosting tastes like a dreamsicle--3 oranges worth of zest. I think I'll name this one Fred.
We're hosting board games tomorrow.

Winston's last night with us. Eff cancer-he got super steroids to give him a few more days so the offspring (who picked him and named him 11 years ago) could join us to say goodbye. Poor guy wants to do all the things but doesn't understand why his body won't. #CatsofBluesky
