A few of us got together Tuesday morning to dress our tree for the Halifax Minster Christmas Tree festival - 29th Nov to 2nd Dec. As well as traditional baubles & tinsel our decorations included handmade ornaments & a (plastic) skull to top the tree. A big thank you to all concerned.

I took this photo of the Lloyds Halifax Bank headquarters in 2018, and I had to go back to the original image to check that I hadn't enhanced it. These days, you can dial up a flock of birds from numerous AI image generators, but this flock is the real thing: Halifax birds against a Halifax sky.

Wakefield Civic Society dinner last night and an unexpected honour from the Mayor of Wakefield, Councillor Darren Byford for my service as President of the Society.

The Crossley family vault at Lister Lane Cemetery. The final resting place of brothers Francis, John and Joseph Crossley, who built up their carpet manufacturing business based at Dean Clough Mills, Halifax.

Does anyone know what happened to our information board about the Wakefield Gate just above Matalan. It's been RIPPED down its MISSING & this sign put in its place. Our fund raising & work gone to ruin and what for? Surely we could have shared the wall? If you can help please DM.
