I don’t 100% agree with that, the fantasyland book report rides just exist to put those movies in the parks. However, I think boiling down both sides to “consumerism” is a bit like equating Arcane to SpongeBob (not that extreme, but it gets my point across)

Having watched the video, I think the angle he’s trying to come from is saying that he appreciates the artistry and story that old attractions and lands brought while disliking the vapidness of putting an IP on top instead of putting in an effort to world build and tell a story.
