VFX Supervisor for TV and VR designer. Chewy Indie core with a crunchy VR shell. Co-designer of The Eastern Edge VR game. Creative Director of Shadow Industries.
Do you find there’s much of a performance advantage in URP over Core for Quest these days?

It feels like Ae finally got somewhere in ‘24 / 25 with a better Aces implementation, but there’s almost nothing covering it properly - and loads of conflicting legacy tuts doing the rounds. ‘None’ is still the default color management option for lots of VFX artists 😕

Really liking what I’m seeing on this camera. Kinda reminds me of how radical Blackmagic originally were with the first Pocket Cinema Cameras. The later BM cams became more cluttered and DSLR-like - and lost a lot of their clean form design and UI flow in the process…

there's a tendency to think of tools from a naively utilitarian perspective, as a list of features, and I think that's a huge mistake

it misses a big part of the *experience* of using a tool, and the creative expression it encourages

Definitely seems kinda wrong to leave him behind in the cesspool of X. I know he has impulse control issues… but that could be like locking a kid in haunted basement
