@reckless.bsky.social After his pod (tinyurl.com/ju9v7f2s) you should get Cori Doctorow on Decoder to talk enshittification and the chance of the Fediverse as the counterpoint to all the tech CEO’s. It’s ok for Decoder to be an org-chart show, but most of those org-charts currently end in Monopoly

@jp2e.bsky.social So realworld Verge hotline question. What’s the best smart lock setup for Airbnb?

And is there a cool way to link it to a calendar and have it generate a new guest code a few hours after a booking ends? Do any locks support 3 tiers of access- admin, cleaner, & guest (cycling)

@jeffbulljr.bsky.social Do you guys use Unity Built-In RP or URP for Walkabout? The game just keeps looking better and better with each new level

@prolost.com Any chance of Prolost YouTube making a vid on a proper log, Aces, 32bit colour-managed workflow in Ae?

Adobe’s constant reworking of their colour management systems over the last 10 years has rendered the internet arcane, and best dated, and often flat-out wrong on this topic.

there's a tendency to think of tools from a naively utilitarian perspective, as a list of features, and I think that's a huge mistake

it misses a big part of the *experience* of using a tool, and the creative expression it encourages

I created a small project to test motion vector-based motion blur in Unity 6 URP. It also supports VFX Graph. github.com/keijiro/URP-...
