There’s room in deadlock for challenging battles against the AI, but anabasis isn’t the way to do it really. It rewards playing passively and defensively, when the game is at its most entertaining when you can be proactive and aggressive.

Difficult and unforgiving and the difficulty is loaded into the back half of a run, so if you lose, you have to do the minimal risk jumps 1-5 again.

It doesn’t help that the safest way to play anabasis is to run away and avoid engaging the cylons as much as possible.

The 2nd season are still good, but Sin and Sacrifice is just that good.

The reinforcement pack has useful ships for the campaign and I’d recommend it even for the base campaign.

For a singleplayer experience disregard the modern ships, they can’t be used in the campaigns.

Operation anabasis is just a survival mode, 10 battles back to back.

The writing of the campaigns is at its best in Sin and Sacrifice, but you need broken alliance for context.

It is honestly a shame, my biggest hope is that Black Labs comes back with a new game that uses the same WEGO system as Deadlock.

Turning the model upside down has to be the glasses and fake mustache of reusing models.
