just realized the most logical thing to do was to reverse in the OTHER direction (against the direction of traffic) and then make a u-turn. the only reason i looked smart trying to reverse into the direction of my obstacles was bc i eventually succeeded, but it was in fact very stupid 😭
was near tears trying to reverse out of difficult parking situation then my friend’s bf got out and was like, “i see what you’re trying to do, it’s really smart” and assisted me… i wasn’t actually trying to do anything intentional but the compliment made me float. i accept u, future friend-in-law
