Finished this faster than expected. Was an OK game all the way, though it would have been way more tedious without a guide. Battle was wonky, quests are sometimes near impossible to find (I missed 4 quests for that reason, even with a guide), but the world feels very lived in, and fun to explore.

Starting on Chroma Squad, a TRPG with the plot revolving around the characters being the ACTORS of a Super Sentai/Power Rangers studio. The main aim is to shoot a good season of the show, intentionally making stunts or make sure certain plot elements happen. Fairly charming game thus far.

Done with this short ARPG that is charming, while being a tad difficult for a person that isn't great at action games. The plot can be simple, but is dark and gives some level of emotion despite its characters being children. Good short "in between" game to play before the next long one.

Been on a bit of a retro mood lately, so I've started on Illusion of Gaia, a fairly popular ARPG on the SNES. It has been a ton of fun based on the few hours I've put into it, and it even feels a bit dark for a game of that era. Liking what I see so far.

Perhaps the most one note plot ever, I found very little to enjoy about the cast and the story of SO1. The mechanics are interesting, but battle system is incredibly flawed, and characters get stunlocked very easily. Not the most fun time I've had, and I would rather play Tales games of that era.

Done with Mystic Quest. It's an ok game, but incredibly frustrating when it involves status ailments, especially with only 2 characters at a time. It is also everything the cover states: Baby's first JRPG, almost no strategy is required, just spam attacks until you win. An easy game clear.

Starting a remaster of a remake, Star Ocean: First Departure R gave plenty of Tales of Eternia vibes, but has yet to really impress plot wise after about 90 mins of playing. Let's see where it goes going forward

Did a playthough of The Roottrees are Dead, a fascinating mix of Her Story and Return to the Obra Dinn, in which you are basically given google to search for keywords to determine the family tree of a prominent family that had just passed away. Was a really fun time, highly recommended.

Show me your dream pokemon team.

Here I have a good mix of cool and beautiful pokemon, and then there is Phanpy who is just the team mascot.

Done with the game. The first 8 hours was a solid fun time and I enjoyed every moment of it. The last 2 dungeons felt like they were not play tested at all, and was a total slog to playthough. Overall it was still a fun time, but I had to drop a solid 8/10 game to 6.5 due to that annoying end game.

Starting on an obscure game called Tomato Adventure, made by Alphadream and is essentially Mario & Luigi 0. I have only ever played Partners in Time very briefly before, so here's seeing what this relative unknown can bring to the table

Have decided to carry on with my DQ Journey by starting DQ8: Journey of the King (see what I did there?) for the 3DS. I played the original on the PS many years ago, but never managed to get past the halfway point because I had poor taste as a kid, and wanted to correct it this time.

Rang in the new year starting Pokemon LeafGreen as a commute game. It's kinda tough to play Fire Emblem while commuting because it does require some concentration (while Pokemon requires alot less of that).

Played quite a number of Pokemon last year, and decided to continue that trend for 2025

Done with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The game was unbalanced at many points, leading to plenty of frustration. Still, considering it was a turned based RPG in 2001, it was a fun time, for what it was.

In addition to HP Sorcerer’s Stone and KH Dream Drop Distance, I have also started Fire Emblem: the Binding Blade, the game that is mainly known for starring Roy, as my “commute game”. Haven’t really played too any Japanese-only FE titles and would like to start here.

Decided on Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance as my next main game. Despite having been a fan of the series, I never really played anything beyond KH2 until this year, when I finished Birth By Sleep. Gonna continue on with the series and hopefully reach KH3 next year.

Done with Miitopia. It’s got the right type of stupid that makes it highly enjoyable. I loved it so much. Not gonna start with the post game yet (if at all), but for what I played, it’s been great.

You may see the image below for my team members that I used.

Was a great year for gaming for me. Enjoyed so many games that I owned for years without a good gaming computer, and now I have both that and the steam deck.

Started on Miitopia, after a couple of hours of trying to obtain meme, anime and gaming characters from around the web. I've not actually heard anyone talk about the plot of the game other than for the LOLs so, let's see how it goes

Done with Child of Light. While the art style is charming, the battle system has alot of flaws that turns a bad situation into a terrible vicious cycle, make it incredibly frustrating at times. Overall, not my favourite experience in the world, but its charms pull though till the end.

Starting on an underrated gem for the GBC, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and old school pre-ATB FF-esque JRPG. I had the 2nd game as a kid and never got too far with it, but I did remember having a good time.

Gonna work on this and Child of Light as my 2 main games for a bit.

Wasn't ever that active on Twitter, but gonna try to be active here and post about my thoughts about my gaming experiences here.

I'm currently playing Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen on the NDS and Child of Light on the Switch, Really enjoying DQ4 and will likely marathon it to the end.
