I finished my last experiement at NIH. It is bittersweet to finish my training and leave my coworkers, friends, and mentors. However, I am estatic to announce that I will be joining LSU School of Kinesiology as an Assistant Professor in August.

This is a dream! Geux Tigers! 🐅

Right now, due to the NIH cuts, cancer patients are not getting life-saving care. Thank you, Natalie, for speaking up.
Thank you to Natalie for being a voice for thousands of clinical trial patients who are not receiving the care they were promised. This is powerful.

Is liver zonation conserved from mice to humans? And how does fibrosis affect zonation in patients? Now, these questions are answered using scDVP. Some collaborations are meant to be! @carolineweiss.bsky.social@frosenberger.bsky.social @mannlab.bsky.social@mlsb-borgwardt.bsky.social
Introducing our single-cell DVP framework combining strategic cell selection with protein gradient mapping algorithms. Analyzing hepatocyte proteomes across 18 human livers, revealing cross-species differences, and mapping disruptions in liver fibrosis.

It's nice to finally see some noise from pharma and biotech. As a friendly reminder, over 95% of the research that goes into new drug development is funded by the NIH. 🧪
The health industry is starting to express alarm about RFK Jr.
Drug and medical device makers didn’t oppose Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as health secretary but are speaking up in opposition to the agency downsizing he ordered.

Proximity proteomics reveals a mechanism of fatty acid transfer at lipid droplet-mitochondria- endoplasmic reticulum contact sites - Nature Communications
Protein-mediated transport is implicated in trafficking fatty acids at contact sites of lipid droplets and mitochondria. Here, the authors use proteomics to catalogue the proteins at this contact site...
