I finally have the cat stickers I've been waiting months to ship and it's not even a Thursday I can plug them to Cats of Yore readers (Yore readers?)

How is that fair?

I can expand infinity on Taylor Swift. Her success is not a fluke, no matter your expression of disbelief. A fluke does not get you to a billion dollars. That requires deliberation and effort to do things no one else will.

And I sit here in this understanding of what she did, and you dismiss it.

I truly wish you could hear Taylor Swift the way I hear her. The naïve teenage girl willing to express it, turned into the woman who becomes hopeful, resentful, and then renewed.

I really wish you could see her how the art was supposed to be seen.

In Father Figure you must feel the painting because Taylor Swift is an artist. She's playing a beat, but she is playing how she was beaten. In that voice is sheer hatred. In those words is the art of betrayal. She could ruin you. Because she has been ruined.

And she can make it sound pretty.

You have to be cultured to understand Father Figure. The rage encoded in every word and beat of those lyrics is lethal. It is diminutive and condescending. It is sheer female rage expressed 15 years later. It is hate. Dressed up because she always has been. She always wears dress. And hates from it.

A crown is a question. Do you wear it, or does it wear you?
