1. As Trump heads to the region, Israel faces a massive bipartisan crisis in its relationship with the U.S. There is a way out, but it requires ending the war, getting the hostages out, pursuing normalization and a Palestinian state. Short of that, the relationship may never be the same.

The popemobile is being transformed into a mobile health clinic to treat ill and wounded Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip — an initiative that Pope Francis blessed in the months before he died.
A Popemobile Used by Pope Francis Will Become a Mobile Clinic in Gaza
In his last months, Pope Francis blessed an effort to transform the vehicle he used when he visited the West Bank in 2014 into a mobile health clinic to treat Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip.

Deeply miss Pope Francis already. He spoke up for the weakest. Against the death penalty. Bemoaned rising antisemitism. In favor of migrant rights. And began regularly calling the tiny Palestinian Christian parish in Gaza when the war began. time.com/7279098/pope...
Pope Francis and his Special Connection With Parish in Gaza
Pope Francis called a parish in Gaza each night to check in with them and ensure they felt his presence.

Wishing my Muslim friends and their communities—both here in America, and worldwide—a meaningful and rejuvenating Ramadan.
May we deepen our passion to heal every person and community in need. As the Holy Quran says, “Whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind.”
