Introducing a supportive amendment to a motion titled: "Together Against Violence against women and girls" @zoegarbett.bsky.social highlighted the need to address misogyny and hate towards women and wanted it noted that Metropolitan police has been found to be institutionally misogynist.

Cllr @alastairis.bsky.social spoke to an item of opposition sponsored business titled: "Hackney’s Poor Record on Community Consultation and Engagement" and said: "If we won’t co-design changes with residents, the very least we can do is listen when they try to help us get it right."

Cllr @zoegarbett.bsky.social also pushed the Mayor on what she's done to push for rent controls. The speaker didn't allow a supplementary question about why the deputy mayor has failed to respond to the concerns about disrepair at Fellows Court that affects private renters.

Councillor @liamzud.bsky.social pushed the cabinet member on the lack of grassroots community engagement on the council's Youth Justice Plan and highlighted the significant exclusion on the needs of young people with SEND, and how there are intersectional needs in the youth justice space.
