Math teacher and learner, trying to drag math education into the 21st Century. Heck, I'll settle for the 20th. Author of Math Adventures with Python.
This is my Python program to find all the possible ways to make a rectangle out of a number, even using negative numbers. And the simplest example of factoring 104 into 8 x 13 or (10-2)*(10+3). In general, for any size square, x*x + x - 6 = (x-2)*(x+3)

I've been a Processing guy and made the leap to py5 thanks to @gereleth.bsky.social's visualizations of her Advent of Code solutions. Was always inspired by the @beesandbombs.bsky.social types of generative art geniuses. It requires all the logic and trial-and-error of a great Geometry exploration.

Don't know about nowadays, but way back in the 1900s my dad (a Bruins fan) used to joke "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out." His philosophy was "If the puck ain't moving, it ain't hockey." 🏒

It's not even a matter of being smart enough, it's just being old enough to remember 2018 when his tariffs and/or the retaliatory tariffs from other countries backfired so badly we had to bail out the farmers and the steel industry.
