WATCH: Seriously, if you’re following ANY bike-lane debate, you HAVE TO WATCH this news story. You actually can’t make this up. Ford claims without evidence that bike-lanes are bad for small business, and THE ACTUAL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION obliterates him with data.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.
Annex businesses tell Ford to back off Bloor bike lanes
Stores in the Annex say the Bloor bike lanes have been a big boost to business. As Michelle Mackey reports, the neighborhood's BIA wants the province to back off its new bill that could see the lanes ...

I want to argue with this point.

I wish I could honestly say that this isn't true, that this can't be true.

Seeing and hearing what too many people in powerful positions are willing to say in *public*, I can not.

💔 there's been a few kōrero this week that have started like this:

Pēhea?
I'm good - just tired of fighting everything / everywhere
I'll be okay once we get through (job loss / funding cuts / illness or injury (added pressure on the health system is *showing*)
I'm all good, just worried about...

I don't have an answer, other than "may be incapable of morality" and "I won't get used to this".

I also don't know whether all or only some whānau with Prader-Willi will be affected.

I find wisdom and some comfort in Cole Riley's Instagram account @blackliturgies ❤️

In case it also helps you:

It's really bad. Prader-Willie is no longer considered a disability eligible for support funding.

Whānau will need to go and get a diagnosis of each individual negative impact (deficit focus much???!) in order to receive future support.

We have a whānau member with this and cannot believe it 💔
