I wanted to give Sony money. $10 USD. Not the $30 PSN said I could pay and not $50 for the full digital release. And not more than $10 for a used copy on eBay. I was only supposed to pay $10 and that’s all I was going to pay. I have principles.

To be clear I’ve been fighting this problem for over 2 weeks now and uninstalled and reinstalled and took pictures and screenshots and watched YouTube videos and looked at forums and Reddit and this should NOT BE THIS HARD.

I downloaded the PS5 version and launched it. Played the intro saved and quit. Logged into my PS5 with my original account, launched the PS5 version, converted my original PS4 save and it works fine.

So I made an entirely separate and new PlayStation account and logged into my PS5 with it, Opened the PS4 version of the game and the option to get the upgrade worked. I paid for it ($10) and installed the upgrade pass. Then when I went to the game hub the PS5 version became $0.

So I did more of my own research and found some folks saying this upgrade should be available from within the title screen of the installed game except it wasn’t working possibly because another GoT game (legends) or the PS+ version of the game was technically available to me but not at my tier.

So I eventually recontacted support and said what’s up with my ticked and said I got this refund denial email. Support said that wasn’t how that was supposed to happen and resubmitted my ticket again. And then 2 days later I got another denied refund email.

So I contacted Sony support. I explained the issue and they opened a ticket with a higher tier of support. I then got an email saying my request for a refund had been denied. I didn’t ask for a refund.

It’s a resin printer with no 3rd party external control support. There’s a phone app and the desktop apps for win and macOS. So I can still use my MacBook Pro.

Yeah that’s what I’ve done. I was able to get it running in wine finally and it does work but for some reason the file transfer rate is abysmal. Transfers are at sub 150 Kbps. But it does work. And I tested again on windows and it was factors faster so something up with that.
