If that was my site, I'd be looking at the data & the code.

You should know that the Express likes to exaggerate weather as clickbait...
You could try running the forecast yourself.
If you did, you would see no 38°C temps.

That's odd - I just reran for the same day & same GFS for UK & temps are loads different - much cooler.

Just looked on Tropicaltidbits for todays run 06z & the warmest forecast, which appeared to be 12z May 19
Nothing over 48°C (Near Basra)
Large area of South Egypt & North Sudan >40°C
