11 million is impressive and I don't mean to dampen the hope that has arisen from No Kings. We need that. I need that. It was amazing! However 3.5% is not a magic number. It is not based on one moment in time, but rather needs ongoing strong activism. For instance in Manila "the People Power movement. The Marcos regime folded on the fourth day." (David Robson) Amazingly short time and four days of relentless protest from the people. In other countries, such as the recent South Korean Presidential Impeachment, protesters were in the streets for many days. I do understand that the US is a huge country. Our protesting is not going to look the same as these much smaller countries, but you get the point. "Trying to achieve the threshold without building a broader public constituency does not guarantee success in the future." Erica Chenoweth We cannot allow any complacency, thinking we hit the 3.5% mark and will soon be free. We need to keep this going. We need to continue to organize and put pressure on those who can enact the swift change we need.

Please stop telling us the news headline. Instead tell us what you are doing to support, stand strong, and fight back. Change is part of life. All of you need to be creative and adapt to change, esp. when it comes to halting illegal and/or harmful actions and getting facts and information to people. Stop doing the same things. Stop thinking there is only one way to do something. Stop defeating yourself before you take action. “It won’t pass. It won’t do anything, so why try?” What kind of attitude is that? Figure out what you stand for and what you believe in. Impeach, block, stand up for what is right instead of being complicit. Support those who stand strong. Stop judging people by age or whatever else. Empower yourself and others. You know their plan, so put out the fires, but also prevent future fires.
