There's one AI movie creator, Synthetic Pink, that is so horrifically disgusting that it seems more like a threat to the existence of AI than anything, which makes me like it.

It's such a good one for that sort of thing! I listened to it when recovering from surgery.

Oh hell yes I found it on Pocketcasts!

I adooooore this show! I was so sad when it became exclusive to Spotify, and then they dropped all the podcasts they were floating. I hope I can access the podcast elsewhere.

A lot of people don't know that actual minimum wage is $7.25 in some states and tipped wages can be as low as $2.15.

I didn't comment to challenge you. I was just confused because if I were to make a graphic reflecting the reality of prison labor, it would have the numbers that reflect that. Like in California, you can rent a human for like, $4/day.

Oh I just wasn't sure that this image was actually made to talk about prison laborers, seems like it was just made for their average minimum wage worker.

But $7.25 is federal minimum wage, this is what non-imprisoned folks are making. In Alabama the state steals 40% of those wages, while also charging them fees for transportation and laundry.

I was wondering about this...

On FB, I can talk about my life with people I know and care about, and I can read about their lives, see their art, see glimpses of what's going on for them. I really want to find that here, does anyone have that experience here?
January 25, 2025 at 5:27 PM
When I go to folks profiles it's often just reposts, so no personal connection there. I understand not feeling comfortable posting about personal life stuff here though, I don't either because either being ignored or seen by unconnected strangers is disappointing.

That's next on my list!

This book could have been about 10% shorter if all instances of the word "sorry"
we're omitted.

Really began to lose me at the halfway point.
