Refugee from the #deadbird, but have missed the people I regularly follow there. With grown ups back in charge in the UK, was hoping to enjoy cat videos... and then the US elections happened. Still a proud EUropean
Watching from the UK and they obviously do care, otherwise they wouldn't be trying so hard to discredit the protest. Saying that, the Regime won't be the target. Seeing numbers on the street supplies a backbone to the commercial, professional & academic institutions that would otherwise cave

Just checking that you mean THIS Zack Polanski... I grew up in poverty and can assure him that I am not racist, so if generalisation and false rhetoric is your bag, you will surely be very happy together 🙄

There is a ‘horseshoe theory about the relationship between the far right & far left, & it isn’t very encouraging for democracy

I now wonder, when the world said 'never again' in 1945, what they put in place to meet that promise. How can other countries watch what USis is doing and not have a plan to stop it before we let another fascist regime repeat our horrendous history?

Nah, I’ve got nothing, unless you count that he introduced me to the amazing & formidable Janey Godley

I like your style. Very similarly, one of the joys of being retired & recovering from a broken ankle is sitting in the garden and not feeling guilty about the messy garden

I don't disagree with most of your comments, except the Tory-lite Labour thing. Labour can only effect their policies in govmnt & to be in govmnt, they have to appeal to more than just the left leaning public. There is very little in this list that the Tories achieved in 14 years of power

Labour have been in power for just 10 months, and a lot of their legislation couldn't come into effect until this month, so although I will agree that they are making mistakes (the biggest one being poor communication), I'm not abandoning them based on the story so far

So, none of these achievements so far address issues for the weakest and poorest in society? And these are all things you are sure that the Tories, or Deform would do in power?

OMG … again? Is there nothing in this list that pleases anyone in the Byline bubble? I agree that Labour are making mistakes, but they are trying to undo 14 years of damage in a volatile economy, and have only been in power for 10 months 🤷🏼‍♀️

Her interview with @maddow.msnbc.com was considered and compassionate, and just made me think of this
