I wonder what the "there was no politics in games back then" people will think of Matsuno explaining that his games are all influenced by the societal context they were made in (spoiler: all games are, willingly or unwillingly, explicitly or non-explicitly).

I don't like the narrative that SEO surfers are making out of Expedition 33.
Sure, it's a good game made by a mostly junior 35-person team, but at the same time it totally isn't. This narrative completely ignore that it's an anomaly and nothing short of a "if you want, you can" kind of story.
