Took place in the local Hobbytown, ended up getting the last Mei Izumi kit they had in stock! Tons of other cool kits like the newest Idolm@ster kits and the Rei kit, the new RG Wing Zero, and most of the GQuuuuuuX line including the newest releases.

I was literally *JUST* thinking that to myself this morning lol. I think her robot face really exmplifies that. Her anime eyes are cute, but there's no discernable emotion in her face, plus you can't really read any body language from her mechanical design. *REALLY* fun juxtaposition

She strikes a really good balance of cool, scary, and cute all at the same time. Like the anime eyes and her proportions are *just* personable enough to be cute, but her more lanky limbs also look like she could absolutely fuck someone up in an instant lol

She has a more mecha styled chest that's more in line with her design, but I guess it's supposed to be her human form? Idk how it works cause I thought she was 100% mecha lol

Also very surprised to see such a substantial inner frame in the leg. I understand she's supposed to be a mecha girl but even in terms of mecha kits this is some pretty impressive engineering, let alone for girlpla kits

Besides that, the pipes were also pretty annoying to properly clean up with how small the parts are. I also tightened the joints but the front skirts being loose discouraged me from posing the kit. It's a very pretty variant, but you're better off waiting for the RX-78 instead of getting this.

I ran into a LOT of issues with this kit, primarily with the stickers. I've decaled two other RGs in the Blast Impulse and 2.0 gramps but the stickers here are actual hell. SO many large stickers that wrap around parts (and the leg ones don't fit properly) regrettably made the detailing very unfun

Ver. Ka stands for Version Katoki, and signifies that a kit has been designed by Hajime Katoki, one of the most prolific mecha designers in the industry. They use a more grounded design language and are supposed to depict what an MS would look like irl and often stand at the forefront of gunpla tech

Ver. GCP isn't a thing like the Ver. Ka is. Ver. GCP just signifies it's the Freedom design used for the 1:1 scale statue in China, kinda like the RX-78F00 is the 1:1 scale RX-78-2 and the Nu Side F is the 1:1 scale Nu Gundam
