Took place in the local Hobbytown, ended up getting the last Mei Izumi kit they had in stock! Tons of other cool kits like the newest Idolm@ster kits and the Rei kit, the new RG Wing Zero, and most of the GQuuuuuuX line including the newest releases.

Went to my first official Bandai workshop! Lot of fun, went with my little brother. Despite how simple the build is the model kit exclusive gramps is pretty fun. It's basically an even more simple EG but for what it is it's actually pretty cool. Took me 20 min to build with no tools

Finished the main body of the Rosado Lily! So far a near flawless build. Despite how thin and frail she looks, she's EXTREMELY solid. She does absolutely require support to stand, but I'm not too bothered by it. Really excited to work on her accessories tomorrow.

Also very surprised to see such a substantial inner frame in the leg. I understand she's supposed to be a mecha girl but even in terms of mecha kits this is some pretty impressive engineering, let alone for girlpla kits

This kit just keeps getting better and better. One of my biggest gripes with 3rd party companies is their weird reluctance to include meaningful moving armor gimmicks. This kit somehow has not one not two but THREE in the leg. One in the shin, one in the thigh, and one in the knee.

My copy of the Rosado Lily came in! This is one of if not *the* most premium unboxing experiences I've had with any model kit. It comes with a nice cardboard insert and even a holographic ticket! Finished up the torso last night and it's super solid and a really unique build.

Are you using a phone camera or an actual camera? If you're using a dedicated camera I find using macro filters helps a LOT with getting up close to kits without having to stomach the cost of actual macro lenses. If you're using a phone camera tho I got nothing... 💔

Built the Lego Technic Space VTOL today as a little break from Gundam. This thing fucking rocks especially for $100. It's the size of a UCS ship. I don't typically buy Technic when it comes to Lego but this was 100% worth it.

Another banger from Kotobukiya. The engineering here is surprisingly different from both the AUV and Sousai Shojo Teien series. The build was very straightforward and even with panel lining and painting only took a day to do. Only gripe is the dark plastic is a NIGHTMARE for nub removal.

Used this kit as a bit of practice and exclusively panel lined it using pour type markers since I primarily use pen type markers, and it turned out surprisingly well! I still prefer the pen type markers but I'll definitely be using pour type markers more often now.
