It's funny how people underestimate the price of computers in the late 70s to early 90s because they've become so cheap today.

For example a 48K Apple II with two disk drives, a monitor and a few knick-knacks was around $3,000 in 1978; which is close to $15,000 today.

So, I am pretty sure that almost everyone misunderstands the significance of LLM hallucinations. The truth is, *every* part of an LLM's output is a hallucination. It's just that the earlier portions that seemed informed and which agreed with reality, were just that, an accurate hallucination.
