Rules of the pub 104: If you're going to have free WiFi for patrons - and it's completely fine if you don't by the way - how about publicising the password? Perhaps even more than once. I don't really think that a post-it note in a dark corner behind the scampi fries is very helpful.

Pontyclun is not in the Rhondda. It is in Rhondda Cynon Taff, the local authority area, but this is not the same as being in the Rhondda valley. Like saying London Luton Airport is on Pall Mall.

@brainsbrewery.bsky.social I loved having dark Mild on cask in Cardiff last weekend! Also had it on keg. Meh. Please inform bar staff that the beer they sell branded as Dark is a Mild, and to serve patrons who ask for a pint of Mild appropriately, rather than looking like static tasered guppy fish.

This is absolutely incredible - of all the times I've been to Cardiff to watch the rugby I reckon this is the first I've heard of extra trains. Shame that we're so shit at the moment that the stadium's going to be half empty, but I like the intention.

Right, I've finally done it. I've got my laptop out and typed a pub review. Now I know how that bloke felt after he'd painted the Mona Lisa. Knackered.

I know it's taken me a while, but as much as I love writing pub reviews I hate typing them up. There about five in my notebook ready to go, when I can be arsed. Until then, I've got some more Rules of The Pub...

I think a lot of people standing for the Labour deputy leadership need to look up 'humbled' in the dictionary. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

The men are shit, the women are shit, the Union’s full of cunts, your club’s about to be cut, and it honestly feels like it’s only going to keep getting worse. Welsh Rugby in 2025 is the pits.

Like the t&cs when you buy any product, what if you had to abide by this contract every time you entered a pub?

The Bell was the subject of my most recent review. This is hugely distressing to learn.

It's been a while, but I've finally got around to typing up another pub review! The Bell in Walton on the Hill - well worth a visit.
