Excellence in health, education, public transport, etc, which made Australia special, have been taken for granted and under-funded over fifty years, to the extent that they have almost ceased to exist.

ALP government would achieve more if it negotiated, in good faith, with Independents, instead of the worn-out remnants of the old-time Coalition.
