Exploring the Dresden Altstat recently. A week is Dresden is nowhere near enough to take in all the museums, gardens, palaces, and beauty. Here we wandered past the Semperoper, Dresden's opera hall, for some low light after dark captures balancing shadow with a portable Godox studio flash. #GvK

Having seen a few rapid portable hospital setups, I'm keen to see how these perform, as their deployment and redeployment must be critically quick and given Russian targeting of hospitals, discrete too.

This is just a fraction of what's needed for EU defence. Something I note missing is a massive required boost in training many new medics for the Bundeswehr, a lesson hard learned by Ukraine.

Some action from the C14th Knights' Order of the Lion Rampant at History Alive when it was based at Brisbane's Fort Lytton. Always thankful HA was held in the cooler months & not the Australian summer 35degC 90%humidity.

Netherland's Kasteel Duurstede cafe opens each Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00 so if you're hoping to cross this draw bridge to see more of the castle you need to book it for an event or visit in those hours. It looks like a lovely spot to host a lunch or a wedding surrounded by a full moat and a park.

Kasteel de Haar in Utrecht, the most striking castle we'd encountered in three weeks of soaking up historical locations, and one that I'd say needs many more visits to really take in the massive volume of detail to be seen everywhere throughout it. File under: disgusting money. 💸💸💸

The juxtaposition of seeing how 'safe' youth taking unknown drugs and presenting to the emergency dept with expectations of comfort and sandwiches can be so jarring in its stupidity when you get home from the shift to see footage of the plight of innocent folk living under fire of criminal regimes.

Brisbane's Fort Lytton still hosts several functional 64lb cannon. Fort Lytton is one of several coastal fortifications built along Australia's coast in the 1870s to safeguard shipping lanes and ports from possible enemy raids from Russia. #History #Military #AusDef
