Watched Home Alone 1 & 2 recently. There's been a lot of comments calling him a "budding serial killer" or whatever, but it's not close to true. He's Bugs Bunny, Yakko Warner, Anthony Fremont. All of reality is his play thing; physics bends to his will. Far more terrifying.

Godzilla Minus One is the movie of the year and should be nominated for an Oscar. Incredible movie and the best Godzilla movie since Gojira (and maybe even better than the original but that will take years for me to decide). Truly fantastic.

this is exactly why i still buy discs in 2023. it's crazy to think that we are reaching a point where piracy will be the only option to own media once dvds and blu-rays are gone.

Part of the outsized influence of Twitter was how much the media, especially corporate media, loved it. Those companies are currently in the phase of wondering whether their ex will take them back, let things be like they used to be. I've got bad news.

It was always going to take extreme collective action with a focus on holding corporations and militaries accountable to fight climate change. I'm not sure it will be accomplished and the 2023 data shows the complete failure of government actions.

Playing Mario Wonder, which is very cute. One thing though: My 8 year old has a toy Goomba he calls "Goomba Gear". Has since he got it 4 years ago. You can become a Goomba in Wonder and guess what? They're stealth segments. Nintendo, I'll be waiting for a check to my child's college fund.
