Chase’s proven model will have saved countless lives.

It has now been re-purposed to analyse why insulin tests in the Lucy case produced unusual-looking results which the court was told “proved” poisoning. (4/7)

Engineers bring branches of science together and make them work in the real world.

Chase, a biomedical specialist, has published over 1,800 papers. In 2017, he won an award for some of his research.

In part, this is because his work led to a dramatic improvement in outcomes. (2/7)

Biomedical Engineer Prof Geoff Chase co-authored a critical insulin paper for Lucy Letby’s defence with Chemical Engineer Helen Shannon.

They claim to have found a natural explanation for the insulin tests that “proved poisoning”.

But is there substance to the theory? (1/7)

NHS WILL USE AI TO PREVENT ANOTHER LUCY LETBY SCANDAL

Never mind the AI in the Telegraph headline.

The two big questions: What was the Lucy Letby scandal? And would this proposal prevent the next?

This system *could* be the very thing that needs to happen.

One prosecution lawyer now represents some of the families.

The families’ lawyers have rejected the findings of Shoo Lee’s panel.

Were the verdicts found to be unsafe, it is possible it could delay or reduce any money the lawyers receive from their work. (12/12)

Operation Hummingbird had a budget of 10 million. And counting – even with the verdicts widely seen as a miscarriage of justice, the force are continuing Hummingbird and have opened a new inquiry.

The doctors were forced to publicly apologise.

Begrudgingly they did – and then went to Chester police. The provincial force were initially sceptical.

In Feb 2025, a shocked nation learned that there was no medical evidence against Lucy Letby.

Just 18 months earlier, the country was united in revulsion. Her guilt was uncontested.

But allegations are now mounting that the truth has been manipulated. For cash. (1/12)

I was wondering about the 7 doctors who accused Lucy Letby. How are they doing now?

I wrote them this, not in anger but in hope. I've no idea how to contact them directly, I don't know if any will ever see it.

But I do hope so.

The prosecution has already held a press conference before the trial, about which they refuse to divulge any details to this day.

Unmissable blanket coverage during the trial was allegation presented as fact. Note the quote marks. (2/5)

On June 30 2023, Lucy Letby was in court and in tears hearing her last hope as her defence lawyer finished summing up.

That same day the prosecution were smiling and joking at an embargoed press conference. These images and details have only just emerged. (1/5)

And there it is - the police determined an event to be suspicious if it Lucy Letby was on duty. Anything bad on any other shift was ignored.

Lucy was the member of staff working the most with the sickest babies.

The CPS blocked any statistical analysis. I wonder why. @gill1109.bsky.social

They are still coming for her.

Lucy Letby's defence lawyer Mark McDonald has said: "The police have been briefing about further enquiries for over a year. Any allegations need to be taken seriously so we are only surprised by the timing of this new leak from the police". (1/2)
